Stockton, 06/21/21 - The YMCA of San Joaquin County is proud to announce it has been selected as a 2021 California Nonprofit of the Year by State Assemblymember Carlos Villapudua.

La Mirada, CA.- Francis of Assisi said, "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." In 2020 the YMCA of Greater Whittier, like so many organizations, has been challenged by the pandemic.

Shasta Family YMCA adds Virtual Y to Healthy Living Options

 

At our facility in Burbank, California, we pride ourselves everyday in our Diversity and Inclusion efforts. Our staff and team are made up of individuals from many different walks of life and backgrounds.

Despite having closed facilities, the West End YMCA focuses on working alongside other devoted agencies to improve the lives of their communities. The West End YMCA’s volunteers have maintained a strong connection with the local government and leaders. They informed the officials of the resources available and asked how they could be of help.

Hurt But Hopeful: My Perspective On What’s Happening In Our Country  

The YMCA of Silicon Valley feeds thousands of youth every day through afterschool programs. With schools closed, their dedicated staff is working around the clock to ensure youth from low income families continue to have food to eat.
