With Youth Development programs rooted in our core values of caring, honesty, respect, inclusion, and responsibility, youth are given the foundation of creating foundational skills. From childcare to youth sports, our children can recognize the YMCA as a comfortable place to explore new interests, but more importantly as a place where they belong.

- Full-day and Partial-day Childcare for infants through preschoolers
- Before and After school care
- Career Exploration
- Mentoring

Healthy Living
The Y is a place where you can work toward balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, fostering connections with friends through our lifelong learning programs, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.
Beyond fitness facilities, we provide educational programs to promote healthier decisions, and offer a variety of programs that support physical, and intellectual strength. Ys offer classes and programs for those dealing with chronic disease, joint and injury rehabilitation, stress and pregnancy, in addition to health assessments and wellness coaching.
At the Y, a supportive community plays a large part in wellness. At every age and every level of activity, you’ll find people just like you looking to live a healthier lifestyle. Group exercise—including strength and conditioning, spin, yoga, tai chi classes and more—is one of many ways the Y supports members in achieving their health and wellness goals. Highly trained staff develop and lead the programs and often tailor them to the specific needs of their community.
Social Responsibility
The Y was created in response to the social challenges influencing the community and provides support through services focused on critical areas, such as child welfare, community health, workforce development, environmental education, quality of life or family services.
We're here day-in and day-out to provide the resources our communities need to address the most pressing social issues through offering services in child welfare, education, employment, housing and substance abuse. We work to make sure every child, family and community has what they need to achieve their best.
California's Y's offer a range of programs to promote social responsibility. While every Y is tailored to its community, this list gives an overview of many of the programs available.
